Did you know that today is #BlackWomensEqualPay ([link removed]) Day? Black women lose almost 𝟏 𝐦𝐒π₯π₯𝐒𝐨𝐧 dollars to the wage gap over a lifetime of work. According to the National Partnership for Women & Families ([link removed]) , if the wage gap were eliminated, a Black woman working full time year-round would have enough for roughly: 2.5 yrs of child care, 156 more weeks of food, and 22 more months of rent. Equal pay is essential to the wellbeing of Black women and families.

The Women's Fund of Rhode Island is hosting a virtual "Run As You Are" program ([link removed]) to help women leaders consider running for office. Through this session, women will better understand how their personal and professional experiences equip them to run and win political office.

The Wallace Foundation has released an updated report, "Navigating Social and Emotional Learning from the Inside Out," ([link removed]) offers practitioners from schools, early childhood education providers and out-of-school time (OST) organizations a detailed look at specific skills, instructional methods and implementation features/supports offered by each SEL program.

The Institute for Women's Policy Research has released a new report, "Shortchanged and Underpaid: Black Women and the Pay Gap," ([link removed]) which shows that there has been remarkably little progress in closing the gender pay gap between Black women and White men, despite increases in Black women’s educational attainment.
