Glacier Conservancy Executive Director, Doug Mitchell, invites
you to join us for the return of Glacier Book Club! The book the
group will be reading for August is Through Glacier Park

. Mary Roberts Rinehart writes in her famous travelogue, first
published in 1916, introducing readers to the recently minted
national park and to the scenic wonders of Montana and to the
adventures to be found there.

Rick Rinehart, the great-grandson of Mary Roberts Rinehart, will
join us for this discussion. An author and publisher in his own
right, Rick wrote the forward to the current edition of Through
Glacier Park

. Rick is a former Colorado Humanities Scholar, and also serves
as chair of the Mary Roberts Rinehart Foundation's awards program
for talented, emerging authors.

The Zoom book group discussion will be on Tuesday, August 17 at

Mount Cleveland Five

Wednesday, September 15

Two days after Christmas in 1969, five young, forward-thinking
mountaineers set out to climb Mount Cleveland, the highest peak
in Glacier National Park. They were never seen alive again. The
Mount Cleveland tragedy will remain one of the most enigmatic
mountaineering accidents in the United States.
