On Friday night, I joined my sisters-in-service, Representatives Cori Bush and Ilhan Omar, on the steps of the Capitol building to rally for an extension of the eviction moratorium — a critical policy that expired at midnight on Saturday, leaving millions of families at risk of losing their homes and spurring a national eviction emergency.
In the midst of the ongoing pandemic, the impending eviction crisis demands an urgent government response to protect and support the 11 million people at risk of being evicted from their homes.
