John, since the start of my career, I've promised to fight for working families in New Mexico, and that's why I'm so proud to see the Biden administration expand the Child Tax Credit to provide historic relief for American families.

When I was a working mom with two young kids, it was hard to find affordable childcare so I know how difficult it can be for families today. I've listened carefully to New Mexico parents who struggle to pay the bills on time, keep food on the table or lift themselves out of debt.

That's why I slashed taxes for working families this year, putting money back into the pockets of low-income and middle-class New Mexicans with the Working Families Tax Credit – in a historic change to our tax system here in New Mexico.

Now, the Biden administration's Child Tax Credit provides relief on a national scale by sending monthly payments of $250 or $300 to eligible parents. Two weeks ago, New Mexico families began to receive the first of many payments that will make an incredible difference in the lives of so many.

This feat is only possible because we finally have a Democrat in the White House who is committed to expanding economic opportunities for all families. Across the country, Democrats are working toward a brighter future for everyone, and I couldn't be prouder to be part of this progress.

To continue making bold change in New Mexico, I need your help to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. Will you donate $5 today to help keep New Mexico blue? Every contribution will help us elect Democrats like me so that we can work together to fight for working families.

Democrats couldn't make bold progress – such as expanding the Child Tax Credit – without help from grassroots donors like you. Thanks so much for your support.
