Conservatives around the country continue to champion the expansion of education opportunity for all Americans.

Last week, Missouri Governor Mike Parsons signed a voucher program into law to enhance the state’s school-choice program. The voucher program balances the best of the conservative ideology — limited government and a free market. It creates a tax credit for private donors who contribute to non-profits that provide scholarships for private school tuition, school transportation, and other education-based expenses. And by doing so, Missouri expanded school-choice opportunities without adding taxpayer expense.

Conservatives believe in providing everyone with an equal opportunity and doing so without the hand of government involved.
