John,

On August 1, the eviction moratorium put in place at the beginning of the pandemic expired. Millions of tenants across the country -- including over 121,000 Coloradans -- are facing housing instability.

We've seen the impact of the economic downturn brought about by COVID-19. Folks lost their jobs, businesses, and savings, the health of our communities has suffered, and homelessness has skyrocketed.

Diana believes that no one should ever be unsheltered. That's why she's taken action by co-sponsoring legislation to extend the nationwide eviction moratorium that just expired. If the CDC won't act unilaterally to protect renters, then Congress needs to do its job to get this fixed.

Now that so many people are staring down eviction, we need to take action. Sign on now to join Diana in calling on Congress to extend the federal eviction moratorium.

The global health pandemic isn't over. In fact, COVID-19 cases are rising by the day. Now is the time to prioritize the health and safety of our communities by making sure that millions of tenants don't lose their homes. The last thing we should be doing is allowing millions of renters to be forced out of their homes and onto the streets.

Thank you,

DeGette HQ
