Partners,

The August Congressional Recess period is a critical time for mobilization as Members of Congress are back in their home districts to hear directly from constituents.

This year, we are uniquely situated to capitalize on legislation that would prioritize the most prominent changes to healthcare in over a decade.

As a community, it is time to dial up pressure this August to ensure Members finalize a “budget reconciliation” package that keeps important health priorities in the bill!

Families USA’s August Recess Toolkit ([link removed]) provides a comprehensive set of resources to help advocates engage Members of Congress through Town Halls, social media, and at their district offices.

The proposed policies in consideration for reconciliation are long overdue, especially for communities hit hardest by COVID-19. Make your voice heard and tell Congress that NOW is the time to act on sweeping health reforms!

To your health,

Tia Rodriguez
Strategic Partnerships Coordinator
