Vejii Holdings' line of more than 5,000 products in 200 categories will get more exposure thanks to a distribution deal the plant-based marketplace recently completed with United Natural Foods. Vejii CEO Kory Zelickson said "having the ability to scale with a distributor like UNFI allows us to remain competitive and committed to our customers."
Amazon employs 950,000 people in the US, not including contractors, out of a global workforce of 1.3 million, the company said in an announcement revealing its exact head count for the first time. Amazon, which has paid a $15 hourly minimum wage since 2018, is the country's second-largest private employer after Walmart, which has a workforce of almost 1.6 million.
