John -
Late last night, we finally got a look at our opponent's Q3 fundraising numbers, and they're just as awful as we expected.
It's full of donations from corporate PACs and wealthy special interests. Nearly half of Cuellar's money came from PACs, and only 1.18% of what he raised came from small-dollar donors.
We're still digging through these numbers, and we'll update you as we learn more about who exactly is funding Henry Cuellar and buying his support.
Here's what we know right now: Henry Cuellar is not running a grassroots campaign. His campaign is not powered by the people. Instead, he's relying on entrenched special interests and corporate PACs to try to buy this race.
Today, we need to prove that his corporate backers are no match for our grassroots team. So we're going to try to match two of his favorite Big Oil backers dollar for dollar in the next 48 hours.
He took a combined $5,000 from BP and Hess in Q3. So let's match that:
Rush a $3 donation to our campaign right now to help us fight back against Henry Cuellar and Big Oil. Jessica isn't taking a dime from corporate PACs and is counting on your support.

Look: the truth is, our opponent outraised us -- but just barely. Because of you, we actually outraised him based on money from real people. That's great! But he's got the backing of corporate PACs.
We don't have to outraise him to win, but we have to keep it close.
That's why we're launching this fundraising push to help us close the gap and start this quarter strong. So I need to ask:
Will you chip in $3 to help us raise $5,000 in the next 48 hours and prove that Henry Cuellar's corporate money is no match for our grassroots team?

We'll report back soon on the rest of the special interests backing our opponent's campaign.
Thanks y'all,
Danny Diaz
