Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! As summer winds down, we wanted to remind you that we have recently reworked our website ([link removed]) so that our resources are easier to find and easier to use. It now includes a search bar and useful features like playlisting and LMS integration. Other recent changes include:
* Our entire Documents of Freedom ([link removed]) curriculum has been moved to our main site.
* We released twenty new YouTube ([link removed]) videos in the last three months. Look for 2+ new videos a week throughout the school year.
* We recently launched a Facebook group ([link removed]) just for educators and look forward to expanding our educator community there in the coming year.

We're crisscrossing the country this fall with free in-person professional development programs–from Boston to Miami, Grand Rapids to Grand Junction, Salt Lake City to Midland, and more dates/locations to come for the fall and spring. Check our events page to find out if we're coming to a location near you ([link removed]) . Because the health and safety of all involved are our first priorities, we will continue to monitor local health recommendations and will adjust accordingly.

Recently approved by the College Board, this resource is designed so that it can serve as a primary textbook or as a supportive resource.

Meet Kay Johnson!

After over 20 years of teaching civics, the Bill of Rights Institute has sequenced some of its best resources into ** a year-long high school civics course ([link removed])
. You and your students can use this playlist to explore what it means to belong to a community, the structure of government, our roles as citizens, and how we can work together to preserve liberty, equality, and justice for all.

** We are proud to share that this course was recently reviewed by The Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy as part of their Social Studies Knowledge Map ([link removed])
. We appreciate the conclusions of the JHI report, in particular their observation that students using this course "are consistently accessing well-developed, high-quality materials that contribute to a high standard of learning." Furthermore, JHI notes that "the course as a whole receives an overall quality score of 78.98%, placing it in the high-quality band."
