We recently became aware that a malicious third party hacked into our syste=
ms for political reasons, and compromised some of our user data. We have no=
tified law enforcement authorities, and have been working with them since b=
ecoming aware of the breach. We have worked to ensure that our systems are =
not compromised and are secured even further to ensure that an event of thi=
s type does not happen again.=20
The information that we believe the hacker gained access to includes some o=
f our supporters=E2=80=99 names and personal contact information, and a lim=
ited amount of donation history (dollar amounts of donations, and the dates=
on which those donations were made). At this point, because we do not reta=
in credit card and banking information, we have no reason to believe that a=
nyone=E2=80=99s credit card information, banking information, or informatio=
n from financial institutions was compromised.
On behalf of our entire team, I apologize. We take very seriously the trust=
you have placed in us, and we take very seriously our responsibility to sa=
feguard your user information. That=E2=80=99s why we=E2=80=99re working as =
diligently as we are, as fast as we can, to address the situation and to do=
everything we can to prevent something like this from happening again.
For over a decade, our organization has been the target of political attack=
s because of our success, including persecution by the IRS under the Obama =
Administration and now this concerted attack because of our actions over th=
e past year during these government mandates and lockdowns, where we have s=
tood up to government officials that we believe should be held accountable =
for decisions based neither on law nor science. This isn=E2=80=99t the firs=
t time our political opponents have tried to intimidate us, and it will not=
be the last. They will not succeed. We will continue to stand firm for our=
shared values of personal freedom, economic freedom, and a debt-free futur=
e.
And you can be certain that we will take every step possible to find and he=
lp prosecute these criminals who have broken into our electronic home and s=
tolen proprietary and confidential information.

We recently became aware that a malicious third party hacked into our systems for political reasons, and compromised some of our user data. We have notified law enforcement authorities, and have been working with them since becoming aware of the breach. We have worked to ensure that our systems are not compromised and are secured even further to ensure that an event of this type does not happen again.
The information that we believe the hacker gained access to includes some of our supporters’ names and personal contact information, and a limited amount of donation history (dollar amounts of donations, and the dates on which those donations were made). At this point, because we do not retain credit card and banking information, we have no reason to believe that anyone’s credit card information, banking information, or information from financial institutions was compromised.
On behalf of our entire team, I apologize. We take very seriously the trust you have placed in us, and we take very seriously our responsibility to safeguard your user information. That’s why we’re working as diligently as we are, as fast as we can, to address the situation and to do everything we can to prevent something like this from happening again.
For over a decade, our organization has been the target of political attacks because of our success, including persecution by the IRS under the Obama Administration and now this concerted attack because of our actions over the past year during these government mandates and lockdowns, where we have stood up to government officials that we believe should be held accountable for decisions based neither on law nor science.
