Team, the events of January 6th continue to haunt us.

But that’s especially true for the Capitol Police who put their lives on the line that day to defend the U.S. Capitol and the lawmakers inside (including myself).

In the days following, multiple Capitol Police members died, while the MAGA Republicans on the other side of the aisle pretended nothing even happened.

Just last week however, we heard harrowing testimony from some of the Capitol Police who were serving on January 6th -- reaffirming the events of that day. And what we heard was heartbreaking and disturbing:

“For most people, Jan. 6 happened for a few hours. But for those of us who were in the thick of it, it has not ended.”

“I was grabbed, beaten, tased, all while being called a traitor to my country. I was at risk of being stripped of and killed with my own firearm.”
--
“Some people are trying to deny what happened. To whitewash it... Let's be clear. The rioters who tried to rob us of our democracy were propelled here by a lie.”

Despite all this, MAGA Republicans are STILL trying to undermine, downplay, and LIE about January 6th. They’re trying to obstruct justice and stop the good work of the Jan. 6th select committee.

Friend, the committee’s work is far too important to be undermined by far-right Republicans. That’s why I need 10,000 grassroots supporters to support the January 6th committee and tell Republicans in Congress to stop the lies and do their jobs to protect our democracy NOW. Can I count on you? »
