Dear John,

-Don't let traffickers and sex buyers win this! -

Tomorrow, lawmakers for the Washington, D.C. Council will have a hearing to decide whether or not they'll be the first U.S. city to FULLY DECRIMINALIZE sex buying, pimping, and brothel-keeping. If this legislation passes it will have disastrous implications, not only for D.C. but for our entire nation.

Please join us, and hundreds of prostitution survivors, in taking a stand against the deceptively named Community Safety and Health Amendment Act of 2019.

Here are two ways you can help:

1. Sign the pledge here and share it widely. This will be delivered to the D.C. Council.

2. Post on social media and tag D.C. Councilmembers. Below are sample Twitter posts you can use. If you'd like to quickly tweet at 13 councilmembers, use this tool here. Sample Tweets:

Survivors are clear that #FullDecrimHurtsEveryone because it will increase child sex trafficking and exploitation. We’re asking @charlesallen, @AnitaBondsDC, @JackEvansWard2, @marycheh and @VinceGrayWard7, to #ListentoSurvivors and #Stop318DC!

It’s shocking that DC Council is considering full decriminalization of the sex trade—a decision that will grow the industry & fuel the exploitation of marginalized women & youth. We must #ProtectSurvivorsNOTBuyers. @charlesallen, please #Stop318DC.

More than 200 sex trade survivors say #FullDecrimHurtsEveryone. @charlesallen @AnitaBondsDC, @JackEvansWard2, @marycheh and @VinceGrayWard7, please #ListenToSurvivors and #Stop318DC.

DC providers are already struggling to serve our city’s trafficked youth. Repealing laws against brothels & buyers would fuel more exploitation of women & children. @charlesallen, please #Stop318DC and #ProtectSurvivorsNOTBuyers.

Thank you for standing with us against commercial sexual exploitation at this critical time!

For freedom,

The Exodus Cry Team
