We are officially on the Road
=============================
Dear Advocates of Change,
Yesterday, we kicked-off the Freedom Walks a 3-week campaign to inspire political
power and mobilization in communities of all backgrounds leading to the 2020
elections! We heard from local leaders in Brownsville and Corpus Christi about
their experiences helping migrants on the border. We heard how our communities
are finding solutions from organizing sustainable kitchens to feed asylum seekers
to creating spaces for how we learn about the complexity of intercity politics to
homeless, immigration and education.
Now, we are off to San Antonio with a vast network of local and national leaders
to walk in solidarity across 14 different cities in 8 states across the U.S. and
the District of Columbia from October 15 to November 3, 2019. Will you join us? [ [link removed] ]
You can also join us for the next 4 walks in Texas where community leaders like
yourself can share space and set the agenda on issues impacting your community
from the separation of families, hate crimes, incarceration and criminalization,
health care, climate change, education and many more issues that impact your
everyday.
