Grand Sponsor Last week, the Chamber announced the 97th Annual Arlington Business Gala will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 6:30-11:30 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City! Don't wait to buy your tickets, the Gala has more than 140 people already registered. We are looking for dynamic volunteers to join the Chamber’s Gala Committee! As a committee member, you'll get to go behind the scenes to help us make this event a success, helping us sell tickets and secure sponsorships and silent auction items. This is an excellent way to connect with fellow members and show your support for the Chamber. Our first meeting is Wednesday, August 11 at 4:00 p.m. on the Zoom Platform. Registration: Member: $10 Prospective Member: $25 REGISTER Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee: Business Support Grant Plans with AED Wednesday, August 4 | 9:00-10:00 a.m. | Virtual Meeting The American Rescue Plan Act that Congress passed in March included an approximately $23 million allocation directly for Arlington County. These funds are in addition to money given to the Commonwealth of Virginia. In April, the County Board directed that some of those funds be used to support small businesses through grants similar to the local Small Business Emergency Relief GRANT program implemented last year. Arlington Economic Development is working on the proposal for criteria and process to apply for these grants. AED Deputy Director Cindy Richmond and BizLaunch Director Tara Palacios will join the Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee to discuss their current planning and to hear feedback and ideas from committee members.
