Faith leaders and low-wage workers will take to the streets
Dear John,
This week marks the anniversary of the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. In honor of that history, we are coming to D.C. today with all the momentum of this powerful Season of Nonviolent Moral Direct Action to Save Our Democracy and on the heels of our 10,000 strong rally in Austin, Texas on Saturday. Faith leaders and low-wage workers will take to the streets at 10:45am ET/ 7:45 PT so that our representatives hear our demands loud and clear:
End the Filibuster
Pass all provisions of the For the People Act
Fully restore the 1965 Voting Rights Act
Raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hr
Fully protect all 11 million undocumented immigrants
This is an urgent moment in the life of our democracy. Join us.
Forward together, not one step back!
