Accommodation Options:
The Rebel Homestay Network (aka The Human Hotel):
We are linking up with the amazing Human Hotel to facilitate London rebels opening their home, workspace, garden, driveway (and hearts) to rebels coming to the Impossible Rebellion. Are you in London or the South East and could you put a rebel up in your home or garden in London? It's a great way to meet others from across the UK! Please Sign Up to Host.
Rebels visiting London will be able to link up with a host from Monday 2nd Aug.
Camping options:
Campsite: The location will be released at least 1 week before the Rebellion. It will be fairly central with good transport links and access to toilets and water. This will be in London zones 1-2. The campsite will be with a “friendly” borough but there is a chance we could be moved on at some point during the two weeks. Please look out for an update on the Rebellion Broadcast. A back up campsite is confirmed in West London (travel Zone 2, 30 mins by tube, 90 mins by bus to City of London)
Rebel drives and gardens: The Rebel Homestay Network (otherwise known as the Human Hotel) includes offering gardens for camping and driveways for camper vans. These will be bookable from Rebel Homestay Network when launched on Monday 2nd Aug
Camp at the occupation! Starting on Day 1 we will be occupying a site to hold for at least the first week, and other occupations will be happening throughout the two - week rebellion, so this is another overnight option!
Sanctuary Spaces:
As in the October 2019 Rebellion we are hoping to have a bunch of sanctuary spaces dotted around the city where rebels can rest and recoup away from the streets on an adhoc basis. The accommodation team are contacting large venues as we speak to confirm these sanctuary spaces in time for rebellion. If you have a contact at a large venue in London please reach out to them and let the Accommodation Team know at: [email protected] The list of spaces will be shared on the Rebellion Broadcast in the run up to Rebellion.
Volunteer on accommodation team:
There is much still brewing in terms of rebel accommodation and we very much hope to be able to share further concrete plans with you very soon. If you have some time to lend a hand in these efforts, volunteers will be supported and warmly welcomed into the small Rebellion Hubs and Accommodations team! Contact us at [email protected].
Transport options:
Coaches: It's great fun to arrive with other rebels, and there are journeys on Eventbrite for all of the planned routes. Coaches are subsidised by XR and tickets are in 4 tiers to acknowledge varying budgets - Free, Low-Income, Waged & Solidarity. Please book ASAP to secure your seat!
Transport subsidies:
We know it can be expensive to travel to London, so we can offer a limited amount of subsidies up to £35 per rebel. If helping with transport costs can enable you to attend the Impossible Rebellion, please fill in our Transport Subsidy Form (you will need a gmail address to apply).
