You usually hear from me when we’ve got a big fundraising deadline looming -- I hate to say it, but this is another one of those times.

As you may know, in the past week alone, two new opponents have announced that they intend to challenge Jared.

This means the stakes are even higher, and our race is about to get much more expensive.

To prepare for these significant changes, Jared and I have raised our mid-month fundraising goal to $8,500. John, can you help us reach our target before the first half of October comes to a close? >>

As Jared’s finance director, I see how hard he works to earn the support of our district’s hardworking families. He takes the time to listen to the challenges facing his constituents, and follows through with solutions that address and solve those very issues.

Our new opponents are going to throw their weight behind distorting Jared’s record and misleading voters -- and chances are, they will be willing to use dark money to do it.

I’m proud of the pledge Jared took to reject any and all corporate PAC donations, but that means there’s added pressure on our finance operation to raise and sustain a people-powered campaign.
