National Harm Reduction Coalition creates spaces for dialogue and action that help heal the harms caused by racialized drug policies.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

+ CA BUDGET WIN: Big news in California -- After a long haul of organizing by the End the Epidemics coalition and others, the CA state budget was approved with a $13 million allocation towards ending the epidemics of HIV, STIs, viral hepatitis, and overdose! Learn more about it and spread the news here.

+ SAVE THE DATE: NHRC is offering a late summer series of virtual technical assistant sessions for harm reduction programs. The series will kick off on August 16th and run through the end of September and include a range of large group webinars, smaller group discussion sessions and 1-1 sessions for individual programs focused on a range of organizational development topics. We are just putting the finishing touches to this program. Please be on the lookout for a mailing in the next week with registration information.


EMERGENT AND EXCITING WORK

+ WORKSHOPS: If you missed July's webinars exploring the new "It's Our Backyard Too" toolkit on building community-centered support for harm reduction, you're in luck! You can register for the toolkit free in our Online Learning Lab and catch up on the recordings from July 15th and July 22nd. Explore harm reduction values with NHRC and Trystereo New Orleans, and learn from frontline harm reductionists how we can shift material resources toward this work.
