Here's the truth: I don't believe for a second that winning this campaign will all come down to money. Our goal is to stay laser-focused on the issues that matter for Montanans, build a strong grassroots team to communicate with voters in person, and attract support from every corner of this district. We're not taking anyone for granted, or ignoring areas that some consider “too red” to campaign in.

But the fact is, this race could end up being one of the most competitive in the country -- especially since Republican frontrunner Ryan Zinke was just endorsed by Donald Trump. We expect he'll attract serious cash from corporate PACs and special interest groups.

I'm confident that we can counter Zinke's big money. Like you, I was raised with the belief that when things get hard, we roll up our sleeves and get to work. We've seen plenty of Montanans doing just that over these past few months -- whether it was in response to COVID-19 or helping neighbors in need through these wildland fires.
