John – I hope you are enjoying your well-deserved summer. It has been one heck of a year, and I won’t blame you if you have checked out completely over the past few months. So here’s a quick update:

National Republicans and special interest groups have already descended on the 5th District in an attempt to flip my seat. They are investing big money to flip the House. My seat is one of their top targets and they are spending money early and consistently.

With all the hard work my colleagues and I are doing in Washington, the only opportunity they see to make inroads is with divisive and cheap rhetoric. I don’t play those types of games – I’m in Congress to work for my constituents. Because of our work, millions of parents saw direct deposits of up to $300 per child this month due to the expanded Child Tax Credit in the American Rescue Plan.

Because of my work, my district will see millions of dollars invested in infrastructure. Because of my work, schools will open safely and we saw the largest investment in public education in modern history. That’s the work that MATTERS.
