Despite how chaotic things seem, it's been a productive month in Washington.

We provided unprecedented relief to working families through the expanded Biden Child Tax Credit. Here at home, we're making progress on removing spent nuclear fuel from San Onofre. And after negotiations this past week, we’re on the verge of rebuilding our nation's infrastructure, which will put Americans to work and help tackle the climate crisis.

Progress is being made, John, but it's impossible to ignore the destructive actions of the Republican Party this past week.

They showed a complete lack of self-reflection or remorse during the January 6th hearings when we heard harrowing accounts from US Capitol Police. They doubled down on their dangerous embrace of misinformation and conspiracies in the wake of the COVID-19 resurgence.

It's clear what is in store for us if Republicans retake the House: more obstruction and denial.

Just three seats stand between continued progress and Kevin McCarthy holding the gavel. As it stands, our district in CA-49 is one of the seats being targeted by national Republicans working day and night to retake control of the House.
