I wish I could effectively express how confident I am that our grant program could be a gamechanger for our partner states. Call after call, it’s clear that the leading activists and organizations in our first partner states are experiencing a funding gap that is making it challenging for them to jump into frontline political fights that immediately impact voters in their states, from voting rights to LGBTQ+ equality to abortion access.
My hope is to close the gap in political spending resources in Alabama, Mississippi, and West Virginia through Groundwork's efforts. I know that this is the ONLY way we can play the long game and shift the political map in the years (and decades) to come.
