John,
We're coming to you just one final time before tonight's midnight deadline to respectfully ask: Will you chip in anything you can to help reach our goal for the Reproductive Justice Fund so we can fully fund our urgent work to defend abortion?
First, we want to break down some important numbers:
→ 315 pieces of legislation have been introduced by GOP state legislatures to restrict or wholly ban abortion if Roe v. Wade is challenged.
→ 228 Republican U.S. Senators and Representatives submitted a brief to the Supreme Court THIS WEEK requesting that Roe v. Wade be overruled.
→ 12 Republican governors followed suit from Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, and Texas. These are states where abortion access would be under imminent threat if Roe is undermined by the Supreme Court.
Okay, John, now that you know all that's at stake, a couple more numbers:
→ $2,856 is *exactly* how much our women-led movement must raise for our Reproductive Justice Fund before midnight in order to continue our urgent work pressuring Democratic lawmakers to pass the Women's Health Protection Act to defend our reproductive rights.
→ Only 1 way to get there — folks like you from xxxxxx chipping in any amount. If enough Women's Marchers from across the country pitch in even a modest donation, we'd hit the goal with time to spare.
Right now, we're falling behind our pace to reach our goal, but if enough folks from xxxxxx contribute in response to this email, we can close the gap and can get there together.
Thank you for all you do to support this movement. We can only win this fight one way, and that is by working together.
