Stay Informed Saturday, July 31, 2021 Election Audit and Redistricting Issues Top RPAZ Concerns The hand count and machine count for America's Audit are complete, and now we are waiting for the analysis and writing of the final. The State Senate has issued new subpoenas to both Maricopa County and Dominion, the tabulating machine vendor the County used. We are all anxiously waiting to see their response. The Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission has started its first round of public hearings on new district lines for the U.S. Congress and state legislature. These hearings are the beginning of the process that will determine the all-important demographic makeup of electoral districts in our state. We've known that the Democrats would turn out at these meetings in force. But, we prepared well in advance for this critical time, and it is Republicans who are dominating in attendance at every single one of these hearings to date! We must not let up, and we need you at future hearings! You can get more information on the times and places of the meetings and learn how to testify effectively to the Commission at www.fairmapsarizona.org. Last week, we were thrilled to welcome President Trump back to Arizona at the Election Integrity Rally in Phoenix! There was a lot of excitement in the room, with over five thousand people inside and many more outside. Our State Party kept people informed with social media updates throughout the day for those who could not attend in person. Of the thousands of people at the rally, many signed up to become new precinct committeemen! Many excellent Republican candidates for U.S. Senate, Arizona Governor, and other statewide offices spoke there, and we have a strong field for 2022. The energy at the rally was tremendous. We need to build on this momentum to lead to Republican victories in 2022! Always America First! Dr. Kelli Ward Chairwoman Republican Party of Arizona Biden Administration Criticized by RNC for Cuba Stance In a recently released memorandum, the Republican National Committee expressed solidarity with the Cuban people marching for freedom from the communist dictatorship that has oppressed them for the past 60 years while criticizing the Biden Administration for its disgraceful and weak position against Cuba’s communist rulers. The RNC’s comments followed the Biden Administration’s perpetuating the lie blaming the recent protests in Cuba on the pandemic when, in fact, the protests are about obtaining freedom from the brutal, oppressive communist dictatorship. The Biden Administration and the Democrat Party have both been apologists for communist rulers for decades. Cuba’s communist dictatorship is also attempting to silence opposition forces by causing internet blackouts coupled with violence and intimidation. August Hoedown Event Planned for Taylor August 28 The second annual Save the Nation Rally & Rap Concert has been planned for Saturday, August 28 at the Taylor Rodeo Grounds in Taylor, Arizona. The event will feature conservative leaders including Arizona Representative Walt Blackman, US Senate candidate Jim Lamon and Turning Point CEO Charlie Kirk. Entertainment will be provided by several groups. The day-long family festivities will start at 11:00 AM and wind up at 10:00 PM. Tickets at EVENT Rep. Gosar Introduces Bill to Eliminate Tax on Social Security Benefits July 27 A bill that would exclude Social Security benefits from current tax policies has been introduced by Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar, CD 4. The proposed legislation, No Tax on Social Security Act of 2021, would exclude benefits from being counted as gross annual income. Under current taxing policies, Social Security beneficiaries could see their benefits taxed up to as much as 85 percent depending on income. The Social Security Act was signed into law by Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1935 and American workers started paying into the fund in 1937. LD 15 Elects New Officers A slate of new officers in LD 15 was elected by LD 15 Precinct Committeemen at the organization’s monthly meeting in July following the early June resignation of the entire previous board. New LD 15 leaders are: Chairman Joe Abrahamson, First Vice-Chair Annabella Gomez, Second Vice-Chair Valerie Grosso, Secretary Monet Bacs and Treasurer Greg Westphal. The new leadership team takes office immediately. Gosar Introduces Immigration Moratorium If Congressman Paul Gosar (CD 4) is successful, legislation he recently introduced will provide a 10-year moratorium on all immigration into the U.S. The Biden Administration’s open border policy violates our federal laws by allowing hundreds of thousands of criminals into our country. Further, the administration is using tax money to fund transportation, lodging, food plus health care for illegal aliens.
