Earlier this week, Facebook announced massive record earnings: $29.07 BILLION this past quarter.

99% of Facebook’s revenue comes from advertising—a toxic business model of surveillance advertising that hooks and hyper-targets us with ads, fueling divisive and misleading content. Mark Zuckerberg is making billions off surveillance advertising, which violates our privacy and stokes division. We are all paying the price.

Despite repeated fines for privacy and antitrust violations, Facebook still blew past their projections. While these penalties would force other businesses to close or change, Facebook has become too powerful and too big to care.

We are on the frontlines of the fight to hold Facebook accountable. We’re calling for a ban on surveillance advertising and advocating for antitrust legislation that would rein in Big Tech’s harms and monopoly powers. But we can’t stand up to Big Tech without the proper resources. They have the money and lobbyists, but we know we have the grassroots support from folks like you.
