# [#]Last year, the CZU Lighting Complex Fire burned 86,000 acres in our congressional district, destroyed nearly a thousand homes, forced 77,000 residents to evacuate, and subjected us to the worst air quality in the world. Now, wildfires in California are already outpacing the damage of that historic wildfire season.

Congress must do everything possible to take proactive steps to avoid this destruction. Add your name if you agree >> [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]

John,

Anna secured $1.2 million in a major funding bill for wildfire prevention projects in the Santa Cruz Mountains; passed bills that mandate reporting on telecom failures during natural disasters; that preserve landline phone numbers for wildfire victims; that direct the EPA to study the public health impacts of wildfire smoke; and that provide resources to local governments to mitigate these risks.

It’s simple: due to climate change, wildfire seasons will only continue to get more damaging. Poor air quality will remain a persistent public health concern in our district. We can’t afford to not act now.

These communities devastated by wildfires deserve our help. Add your name in support of increased efforts by Congress to fight wildfires, strengthen prevention tactics, and have increased protections for wildfire victims >> [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]

Anna will continue to work in Congress and with President Biden to ensure initiatives are put in place to protect those affected by wildfires.

Thanks,

Team Anna
