I have an important ask to make ahead of our July fundraising deadline tonight. I hope you’ll give me a minute to explain why this is so important.

Tonight, we are going to report our fundraising numbers for the month and we have to put up a strong showing. But there’s also another reason why this is so important.

This month, a Republican with the backing of a $10 million Super PAC jumped in the race, bringing our total number of opponents to FOUR. And only a few days ago, Donald Trump flew to Arizona to hold a rally and directly attacked our campaign.

So I need your help to keep up the momentum in the face of this attack, and it’s going to take lots of people making donations of $3, $5, or $10 to get us to our 40,000 contribution goal by midnight.

My team tells me we are close to our goal, and if we can get there, it’ll show that this team is more determined than ever to defend this seat. You can see how important this is, which is why I have to ask:
