The clock is ticking and Senators are about to go home on recess before passing a voting rights bill, which is why thousands of folks from all backgrounds are coming together next week to rally and demand that Congress take action now before going on recess!

Dear MoveOn member,

GOP attacks on our voting rights and democracy continue to escalate with no end in sight, so Congress must act swiftly on the once-in-a-generation chance to pass transformational legislation like the For the People Act to protect the right to vote.

The clock is ticking and senators are about to go home on recess before passing a voting rights bill, which is why thousands of folks from all backgrounds are coming together next week to rally and demand that Congress take action now before going on recess!

Click here to RSVP to rally alongside Reverend William Barber and the Poor People's Campaign on Monday, August 2 at 10:45 a.m. ET!

Click here to RSVP to rally alongside state legislators and Declaration for American Democracy on Tuesday, August 3 at noon ET!

The GOP has introduced almost 400 voter suppression bills in 48 statehouses across the country.1 And they’re succeeding in states like Georgia, where people, predominantly Black people and communities of color, already face huge, intentional hurdles to voting, such as long lines, difficult voter registration processes, and limited access to early voting and mail-in ballots.

State legislators are counting on Congress to act to protect our voting rights from these attacks. Those who have been consistently pushed to the margins, disenfranchised, or faced unnecessary, intentional hurdles to cast their ballot are counting on Congress to act.

Let's move together in a unified stride to send a message to Congress that the time to act is NOW.

Join Rev. Barber on Monday, August 2, at 10:45 a.m. ET!

Join state legislators on Tuesday, August 3, at noon ET!

Thanks for all you do.

P.S. We are not encouraging you to participate in civil disobedience at these actions.
