Hi all,

I want to give a HUGE thank you to everybody that contributed to my campaign last quarter! Yesterday was the FEC filing deadline, so every campaign's fundraising numbers became public. Together, we raised over $22 thousand - and I couldn't be more excited about the momentum this campaign has!

My opponent, William Timmons, raised $102 thousand last quarter. While that may seem disheartening at first, if we look at where that money came from it tells a MUCH different story. Here's a quick rundown:

- Over 90% of the money he raised was from PACs and special interest groups (including $1k from the NRA).
- His campaign received only 13 contributions from individuals.
- His average contribution was $1,329.
- His campaign has over $768,000 in loan debt.
- Just 6.3% of the money he raised came from South Carolinians.

Here's the rundown of my fundraising:

- We took $0 in corporate PAC money
- 89% of the money I raised came from South Carolinians.
- We received over 300 individual contributions
- PAC money aside, we out-raised Timmons by more than 2-to-1.
- Our average donation was just $74

I'm so impressed with the work we did last quarter, and the numbers show which campaign really has the support of the people. While we still face an uphill battle with the number of PACs and special interest groups supporting my opponent, we're not going to let it intimidate us. Remember: the people will determine the result of this election, NOT the NRA or the other organizations controlling my opponent.
