John - On the Feast Day of St. Ignatius of Loyola, let us recognize the divine in all of God's creation.

John,

This year marks the 500th anniversary of St. Ignatius of Loyola’s spiritual conversion and the beginning of the Ignatian tradition.

As we celebrate this special Feast of St. Ignatius today (July 31st), we reflect on the state of the world and pause to notice our experience of desolation and consolation through our work for justice.

Consolations we've found in our work recently:
* Thousands of students, educators, and parishioners are preparing to gather in Washington D.C. for a return to the in-person Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice ([link removed]) .
* Over 55 parishes across the U.S. have formed an ongoing nationwide effort to network for racial justice and equity, exploring ways to bring racial justice work to life in their parishes through reflection, conversation, prayer, and action ([link removed]) .
* 4,000+ individuals entered into the complex work of understanding the connections between environmental injustices that disproportionately impact Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), as well as low-income communities through the Interconnected: 21-day Catholic Environmental Justice Challenge ([link removed]) .

Let us heed Ignatius’ words and move forward in love, recognizing the divine in all of God’s creation. Let us love more and more perfectly and continue to work toward this conversion for our communities and the world.

Thank you for being a part of our network and a supporter of our work.
