The PRO Act would put an end to abusive labor policies NOW by shifting power back to the workers, not the CEOs.

John,

It’s the same old story: the rich keep getting richer, while the poor and working class have seen their wages stagnate and their costs of living skyrocket.

Well it’s time to flip the script! Today, CWA is leading a Day of Action in support of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act — a historic piece of legislation that will strengthen the right of workers to strike and organize, without fear of retaliation from employers.

The PRO Act will:

  • Increase penalties for union busting and allow a private right of action by workers,
  • Ban captive audience meetings and ensure union elections are held in a timely manner,
  • Allow “secondary strikes” so workers can stand in solidarity with other workers,
  • Force mediation and arbitration to ensure unions get first contracts,
  • Deal a blow to “right-to-work” laws and prevent the misclassification of workers as independent contractors,
  • And much, much more!

The PRO Act currently has 214 cosponsors in the House, and with your help, we can push that to a 218 majority. Will you sign our petition to stand in solidarity with workers across the country who are taking action today in support of the PRO Act?

Our existing labor laws are out of date and inadequate at protecting workers. Often times when workers try to organize, companies will retaliate by firing pro-union workers, permanently replace striking workers, or try to intervene in a union vote.

The PRO Act would put an end to these abusive labor policies NOW by shifting power back to the workers, not the CEOs.

Will you stand in solidarity with CWA and workers taking action across the country by adding your name to the petition in support of the PRO Act?

Together we will bring power back to the people.

In solidarity,
Working Families Party
