In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to split a donation between Senator Catherine Cortez Masto’s campaign and my campaign. But first, I hope you’ll give me a chance to explain why her race for re-election in Nevada is so important.

With the Senate split 50-50, any single race could decide whether or not we hold the majority, and the truth is Catherine’s seat is one of Republicans’ top targets.

Now some folks may think that Nevada has steadily moved more and more Democratic, and it’s true that we’ve had good success there in recent cycles. But it’s always much closer than a lot of folks realize.

In 2016 when Catherine became the first Latina elected to the Senate, her margin of victory was only about 2 percent. In 2020, Biden’s margin of victory was also just around 2 percent. You see, it’s really not a state we can take for granted.

Republicans have been investing serious resources into the state, and just this month, the Cook Political Report, a top non-partisan elections forecaster, downgraded our chances of holding this seat.

We need to make investments now to ensure we hold this seat and keep Catherine Cortez Masto in the Senate. What do you say?
