Resilience is part of good mental health.

Teaching children to become resilient is a gift that will serve them
well during difficulties they face during their lives. In this article,
Joanna shares some tips to help your kids become mentally stronger.

Joanna's right. I think the future our children face could be incredibly
difficult. Sometimes I look back, and even though it was rough at the
time, I credit our bout with extreme poverty for teaching my own
daughters how to handle hard times with mental resilience and a
problem-solving attitude.

Is teaching your kids to be resilient something you work on, or do you
try to protect them from the harsher aspects of life? If you are
teaching children to be resilient and strong, what methods are you
using? Do you have any success stories to share? Let's talk about it in
the comments.
