For years, American labor has suffered as large corporations send our jobs overseas. We can’t rebuild our country that way. We’ve all suffered a lot this past year, with higher rates of unemployment due to the pandemic.

Policies that protect our workers, work! As Co-Chair of the Steel Caucus, we fought to prevent other countries from exporting their unemployment to our American workforce. As a result, our steel industry boomed. Those jobs were vital to keeping Northwest Indiana working throughout the pandemic. Northwest Indiana is home to the nation’s leaders in steel production. It's absolutely vital that we continue to put American steel first, we keep our friends and families employed, and we keep this nation secure.
