Over the past six months, we’ve told you a lot of things about this race. We’ve told you about the grassroots movement we’re building here in the 3rd District. We’ve told you about how my opponent spends his time cozying up to corporate lobbyists rather than listening to the concerns of this community. 

Well, just last night both of our third quarter fundraising numbers were announced, and the numbers don’t lie. Not only did we raise nearly twice as much as Dan Lipinski, but our support came almost entirely from people like you.

We have always said that Dan Lipinski has prioritized the interests of his corporate donors over those of his constituents and last night’s numbers further prove that point. Almost half of Dan’s support came from corporate and special interest PACs.

But thanks to you, we are running this race the right way. Our campaign is powered by people, not corporations -- last quarter we raised nearly 40 times more from small dollar donations than Dan. 

These numbers demonstrate that momentum is on our side, but we can’t relax yet. This campaign is far from over and we need your help.
