For the past 10 years, Crystal Zermeno, Texas’ hidden figure and TOP’s Director of Electoral Strategy, has been chipping away at the conservatives in control of the state. Her multi-year electoral roadmap has been instrumental in winning governing power locally and statewide for Black and brown communities. Much like Tram Nguyen in Virginia, Zermeno is moving mountains to transform Texas into a more equitable and progressive state.
