I’m running for Iowa’s Senate seat against Sen. Chuck Grassley. I have every intention of winning – and nobody will work harder than I will to flip Iowa blue and give Iowa’s working families a voice in Washington.

But last time around, Iowa’s Senate race was one of the most expensive in the country, and with Senate control on the line, you better believe Mitch McConnell will spend heavily to keep this seat red. The only way we can win – and defeat a seven-term incumbent like Sen. Grassley – is if grassroots folks like you are with us.

Since we launched this campaign, political analysts from POLITICO and CNN have called it one of the most high-profile races in the country. All eyes are going to be on us – and believe me, there will be tons of talking heads saying we don’t have what it takes to defeat a deeply entrenched incumbent like Sen. Grassley.

This much I know is true: I’ve been underestimated for my entire career by people who don’t think that a young woman like me has what it takes to win. But I’ve proved them wrong, going on to serve in the Iowa House of Representatives when I was 26 – and then becoming the youngest woman to ever flip a House seat from red to blue when I had the honor of representing Iowa’s 1st Congressional District.

With your help, we’ll flip a Senate seat from red to blue, too.
