The National Constitution Center's 33rd annual Liberty Medal will be awarded to two freedom fighters: Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Jimmy Lai and Saudi women’s rights activist Loujain al-Hathloul. The Center will honor the recipients in a ceremony at the Center in Philadelphia the evening of September 21, 2021, which will also be livestreamed.

Established in 1988 to commemorate the bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution, the Liberty Medal honors men and women of courage and conviction who strive to secure the blessings of liberty to people around the globe.
