We fact checked five claims made by Boris Johnson and found the majority were either false or misleading.

Last week, Labour MP Dawn Butler was asked to leave Parliament for the day, after standing by her claims that Boris Johnson “has lied to this House and the country, over and over again”.

We fact checked all five of Mr Johnson’s claims that Ms Butler was referring to. The majority were either false or misleading.

Our politicians, and especially a Prime Minister, should be held accountable for the inaccuracies they make in public. Do you agree, Friend?
Chip in to support fact checking ([link removed])

There are rules about "unparliamentary language".

And there is also the Ministerial Code, which states that any Minister that has not given accurate or truthful information to Parliament is obliged to correct this at the earliest opportunity.

As independent fact checkers, it’s our 2,470 individual supporters that help us scrutinise claims made by politicians on all sides, and push for the record to be corrected.

We look forward to the Prime Minister correcting the record when Parliament returns from recess on 6 September.

Can you help us keep up the pressure to make sure Mr Johnson’s false claims don’t go uncorrected?
