Hi John,

Activist Assembly: End Vaccine Apartheid

Find out more and register

This week a handful of rich countries once again blocked efforts to ‘free the vaccine’. As they sit on their stockpiles of doses, the UK, the EU and a few others are refusing to let the rest of the world produce the vaccines and medication they need.

Less than 1% of Covid-19 vaccines have gone to low-income countries. Only 1.5% of Africa’s population has had a shot. And manufacturing facilities are sitting idle – in Bangladesh, Pakistan, South Africa and many other countries – there are factories right now keen to start producing the vaccines we need.

Vaccine apartheid is an issue the whole world is talking about but we now need to grow this campaign, gain momentum and build on the progress we have already made. That’s why we’ve organised our first activist assembly to End Vaccine Apartheid!

Register now

This is an uncertain time for all of us but the world can’t wait. So we are picking up speed and re-starting our in-person organising. This September, come to our activist assembly to #EndVaccineApartheid.

We will hear direct from people on the ground in some of the most severely impacted regions in the world. We will also learn about the successful organising activists have done in the US; how medical students campaign on access to medicines; how to organise more effectively on campus; as well as hear about the brilliant actions our own youth network and supporters have already done here in the UK.

In solidarity,

Help ensure Covid-19 vaccines are available to everyone, everywhere

It’s vitally important that Covid-19 vaccine patents are suspended during the pandemic, and for big pharma to share their know-how globally, as the best way of ensuring there are enough vaccines for everyone everywhere.

Regular gifts give us the long-term stability to plan effective campaigns and the flexibility to respond to crises like these.
