It’s getting worse, John.
Republicans aren’t even trying to hide their intentions anymore. Yesterday, news dropped that 228 GOP lawmakers formally submitted a request to the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.
This latest attack on our reproductive freedom is an urgent reminder why we need to ramp up our organizing work and make sure we leverage the power of this women-led movement to make our voices heard.
In the past, we’ve seen the power of our texting programs. Through texting, we can quickly build pressure campaigns on Congress, get the word out about Women's March mobilizations, and build the organizing power we need to kick every lawmaker who threatens our reproductive rights out of office.
In the weeks leading up to November 3rd, our volunteers sent and received 21 million texts to women voters in battleground states across the country.
Thousands of grassroots supporters chipped in $5, $10, or anything they could to help make sure our organizing teams had the funding to pull off an ambitious get-out-the-vote program. Together, we harnessed our collective power as women and feminists to defeat Trump — and we won.
Now, we must leverage our grassroots power again to do texting outreach and make sure we organize against the wave of attacks we’re facing on our reproductive freedom.
Especially now that the GOP has made it clear they’re not backing down in this fight — we need to raise money ASAP so we can reach as many women as possible to join us in defending our reproductive rights.
