John, I’ve been making phone calls for Eva for several months and helped host a house party for her last winter. I’ve been following her various campaigns and efforts for much longer. To me, Eva is a true candidate for the people. Why? Some of it stems from hearing about her upbringing, where she attended tuition-free school through a masters’ level program and had free healthcare. She said that she hates to see people in this country suffer without those same opportunities. Her empathy means a great deal to me. Some of it comes from her campaign to raise the minimum wage here in Flagstaff. It spoke volumes about her as a person. She proved her intelligence, foresight, and fought for our community. Some of it comes from seeing her in action, speaking up to BS with a great deal of courage and tenacity. She was outspoken on Flagstaff City Council, willing to call things for what they were. Eva’s always been a fearless leader. But the main reason why Eva is a true candidate for the people is because of her dedication to making this world a better place. I fully support Eva and her progressive platform. Her policies reflect her own values — that of decency, honesty, and respect. The thinking she has, similar to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, constitutes the perfect approach to making this country great again for everyone.
