John,
Addressing climate change must be our top priority.
Our climate challenges are not getting easier. While the pandemic brought a temporary reduction in emissions last year, global carbon pollution is roaring back. Even in the West where we are making great strides on clean energy, our gains are being nearly erased by devastating wildfires that are becoming all too familiar.
Surrendering to the climate crisis is not an option. And despite our sobering challenges, I see reasons for hope...
The Biden/Harris administration is taking executive action to restore our commitment to lead the global effort to stop the dangerous impacts of climate change. We’ve already rejoined the Paris climate agreement, set up a Climate Task Force and reversed several of Trump’s giveaways to Big Oil, including the Keystone XL pipeline.
My House colleagues and I continue to pass impactful climate and environmental bills like the INVEST in America Act, an infrastructure agenda that will help us invest in clean technologies and launch initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create more resilient communities.
Most importantly, the American people have joined us in the fight to protect our environment and confront climate change. Together, we’re building the political pressure necessary to overcome obstruction from the GOP and their dangerous agenda.
With your support, we will continue to make progress but there’s still significant work to be done. Will you take two-minutes right now to share your thoughts on the work Congress and the administration have done on climate and environmental protection and what you hope to see us tackle next?

Thank you for your interest and support — and for taking action today!
Always hopeful,
