It’s so important that we continue to ensure that Black women have a seat at the table.

Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous tumors that disproportionately affect Black and brown women, causing serious pain and discomfort for thousands of women, and team we’re lucky to have a Congresswoman who is fighting for Black women across New York’s 9th.

Folks — sometimes Yvette doesn’t like to toot her own horn, so we’ll do it for her.

We can’t afford to lose Yvette, and we’re $4389 away from tomorrow’s goal. Will you chip in to our team before the end of July?

Yvette is on the front lines fighting for justice and equity, especially within our healthcare system. As we close Fibroid Awareness month, Rep. Clarke is working with various colleagues like Rep. Sewell of Alabama to fight to fund research into this debilitating disease.

Thousands of women suffer from the effects of fibroids, and this disease disproportionately affects Black and brown women.

Yvette named this legislation after the trailblazing Congresswoman from Ohio, Stephanie Tubbs Jones, and it would increase NIH funding that focuses specifically on uterine health and research for fibroids.

Nearly 80% of Black women will experience fibroids by the time they’re 50. Will you donate to keep Yvette fighting for this critical issue before our deadline?
