While Nancy Pelosi spent the past six months playing partisan political games about January 6th, Republicans have consistently denounced any and all violent actions that took place AND called for a full, fair and transparent investigation by prosecutors. Simply put, we believe both in the RULE OF LAW and in constitutionally guaranteed DUE PROCESS of law.
Sadly, there have been troubling reports of arrests made and people held for months, even in solitary confinement under deplorable conditions, without getting their day in court.
Yet, the Justice Department has stonewalled repeated Congressional requests for information.
And the media has largely ignored these concerns after gleefully promoting the bail funds set up for violent protestors who have burned down cities across our country.
In America, there should be no question about the legal treatment of an American prior to the opportunity to answer the charges brought against them before a judge or jury. (Don’t just take my word for it, the reports were so bad that liberal Senators Warren and Durbin have expressed concerns about the treatment of those imprisoned.)
On Tuesday, I joined a press conference with freedom-loving Representatives Taylor-Greene (R-GA), Gaetz (R-FL), Gohmert (R-TX), Gosar (R-AZ) and Biggs (R-AZ) outside the Department of Justice to discuss the continued detention and treatment of political prisoners stemming from the events of January 6 at the U.S. Capitol.
We wanted to meet with Attorney General Merrick Garland to ask him why are U.S. House of Representatives members being denied information as to the conditions and treatment of Americans accused of wrongdoing on January 6?
We were obviously saying things the Left did not want to hear because they sent Antifa and BLM agitators to disrupt our press conference. And they followed up with nasty calls and threats to my office.
They don’t think the American people deserve to know the truth. And make no mistake, they are targeting my seat in Congress because I am standing up for the truth. Biden and Pelosi want to take away your voice in Washington. For the Left, it’s all about power and control.

I will not back down to liberal bullies. If Americans are allegedly being denied due process, or are allegedly being mistreated, I will not be silent until I get answers. I will keep up the fight to protect all of our Constitutional rights.
