Coming Soon: Pier Kids
"Home is where one is most deeply understood" said Elegance Bratton, the director of Pier Kids. For almost a decade, between the ages of 16 and 26, Bratton was homeless, living on the Christopher Street Pier in New York City alongside the scores of other queer and trans youths of color who call the Pier home.

Returning years later and with intimate access to three fearless young persons, Bratton's debut documentary highlights the resilience and creativity of this community that many choose to ignore. Pier Kids broadcasts on Monday, August 2nd at 10pm on PBS (check local listings) and streaming at pov.org.
