My role on Team Groundwork is helping the team stay on track and stay organized, with all the conversations we are having in our first partner states and our efforts to get this operation really up and running. We are a small team, but we are covering a lot of ground!
I know Joe connected recently about his task for us to jump start our Partner State Grant Fund. When he told our team about this big new goal, we got pretty fired up!
Prepping for our grant-making means we are so close to taking clear, actionable steps to shift the political map and better serve communities that too often get taken for granted.
We have a goal of raising at least $12,000 by the end of day tomorrow. Our July budget deadline is one of our final chances to build out the early resources for our partner organizations before the fall rush. Chip in now. [[link removed]]
Our Groundwork Grant program will immediately help partner organizations expand their political organizing and advocacy efforts. Trust me, I’m on a lot of calls and ALL of the organizations we connect with highlight the gap in funding for their political efforts.
Our dollars for these organizations goes a step further than educational campaigns for voters (what always gets funded first). Our grants will allow them to not only connect with voters but also advocate politically for progressive issues and candidates that will better serve the community.
So, what do you say? Are you ready to radically shift the map and play the long game where it matters the most? Donate now. [[link removed]]
Thanks and more soon!
Matt
Groundwork Project invests year-round in local community organizing. With a primary focus on Appalachia, the Deep South, and the Plains, we play the long game. Day to day, year to year: We show up to help build durable civic and political infrastructure in places Democrats have gotten used to writing off. Contribute now. [[link removed]]
