This month's momentous victory for working families -- the expansion of the Child Tax Credit which provided direct payments to millions of parents across the country -- could not have passed in a Republican-controlled House or Senate.

The truth is, everything we want and need to accomplish for the betterment of our lives and communities -- infrastructure improvements, affordable housing and health care, voting rights, racial justice, benefits for small businesses and workers -- can only be achieved with a Democratic majority in Congress.

Republicans have shown they have no interest in helping improve the lives of everyday people. Instead, they are still disputing the election results of 2022 and propagating Trump's Big Lie, all while pursuing an agenda of voter suppression and racial discrimination.

We have to stand up for what's right, John, and we must continue passing legislation that makes a real impact on the lives of working families.
