I understand there's a lot going on right now: The GOP is relentlessly attacking voting rights, Roe v. Wade is in serious jeopardy of being overturned, and key components of President Biden's progressive agenda hang in the balance. But it's exactly because of these urgent circumstances that I'm counting on your support.

My end-of-month fundraising deadline is just around the corner, and if we continue at our current pace, we will come up $6,200 short of our goal.

With so much on the line, I need to be honest about why we cannot let that happen. The Senate Republican campaign committee just posted their single biggest fundraising haul in a non-election year. They brought in close to $30 million that they can deploy at the behest of Mitch McConnell to expand the electoral playing field and target blue Senate seats like the one I hold. Their record fundraising could elevate my extremist opponent – someone who is loyal to no one except Donald Trump.

Friend, control of the Senate hangs in the balance – and with it, our ability to make progress for the American people. I'm counting on you to help me hit this end-of-month fundraising goal so we can defend my Democratic Senate seat and keep Democrats in control of the Senate. So, if it is at all possible, I'm asking, please:

Will you make a donation of $5 or more now to protect this Senate seat from extremist Republicans and keep Senate control out of the hands of Mitch McConnell?
